Job summary

Thales Group in Boston, MA is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician to perform line and ground equipment maintenance on Thales IFE systems in accordance with FAA regulations and airline manuals. You will troubleshoot, install, and repair complex electronics while ensuring safety, reliability, and timely service for airline customers at a busy airport.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, FAA A&P certificate, and the ability to obtain airport security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with FAA A&P certificate and experience per 14 CFR 65.83.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge, background check, drug test).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States with a valid driver license.
• Strong avionics/electronics knowledge; read blueprints and wiring diagrams; perform crimping and soldering per aviation standards.
• Able to analyze data, troubleshoot under pressure, and communicate technical info to Supervisors/Customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and system modifications on all Thales In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize aircraft downtime and operational impact.
• Document logbook discrepancies related to Thales systems and clear them timely.
• Record maintenance activities daily and submit reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
• Support airline customers by adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain FAA compliance, safety standards, and internal quality procedures in a fast-paced environment.
