Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for aerospace and defense programs in Moorpark, CA. You will develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation to ensure producibility and quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience implementing Lean and continuous improvement.
• Proficient with CAD/3D modeling and GD&T.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including structures, routings, process specs, and tooling docs.
• Investigate process failures; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with design, quality, production to ensure producibility of new designs.
• Create and approve required manufacturing documentation for products.
• Interface with production personnel to resolve issues and support flow.
• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and standard work.
• Develop automated test fixtures and assembly tools to improve quality and efficiency.
• Design layouts for manufacturing cells including tooling and equipment.
• Create PFMEA to identify and mitigate process risks.
• Develop PQPR docs for machining part families to ensure quality.
• Apply DFM principles to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Document, plan, and execute manufacturing engineering projects and milestones.
