Job summary

Aerosapien Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace and advanced manufacturing projects. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manufacturing process development, tooling and fixtures, machining, fabrication, assembly, production-line setup, and continuous improvement.

The role involves developing and improving processes, creating plans and documentation, and leading improvement initiatives to meet AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Manufacturing Engineering experience; 8+ years preferred for senior-level positions.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with CAD tools and manufacturing layouts preferred.
• Experience with automation, robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, or production-line integration is a plus.
• Experience with FARO, CMM, Keyence, or other inspection systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace and industrial components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies.
• Create manufacturing plans, work instructions, process flow, routings, and production documentation.
• Design and support jigs, fixtures, assembly tooling, carts, workstations, and material-handling solutions.
• Support machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, and inspection operations.
• Review engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, BOMs, and customer requirements.
• Perform process studies, cycle-time analysis, line balancing, and capacity improvement.
• Support new production-line layouts, equipment selection, installation, validation, and ramp-up.
• Identify manufacturing constraints and implement cost, quality, safety, and productivity improvements.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Work closely with design engineering, quality, production, suppliers, and customers.
• Support tooling tryouts, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and production launch activities.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality requirements.
