Job summary

Albers Aerospace seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Amarillo, TX to support production by developing efficient processes, implementing automation, and improving workflow across the facility. You will design tools and fixtures, provide operator support, and collaborate with Engineering to apply design-for-assembly concepts while applying lean principles.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related technical roles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

Prepare manufacturing cost estimates across materials, parts, machining, assembly, and testing.
Review designs to improve manufacturability and create work instructions.
Maintain ISO 9001 documentation and ECO integration into instructions.
Develop operation sheets detailing tooling, machines, and inspection requirements.
Lead cost-out initiatives and participate in continuous improvement.
Coordinate with Purchasing on tools, fixtures, and procurement.
Support major build-to-print programs.
