Job summary

Crisis Connections in the United States is seeking an experienced clinical leader to oversee the daily operations and clinical quality of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Chat and Text Program. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate, accessible crisis support through chat and text.

As the 988 Clinical Manager, Chat & Text, you will supervise staff, ensure compliance with 988 standards, and collaborate with Crisis Connections

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Independent or associate behavioral health licensure, with the ability to obtain the applicable Washington State credential.
• 4-5+ years of leadership experience in behavioral health crisis work.
• Experience with crisis chat/text, web-based crisis services, or digital contact center environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a multidisciplinary 988 Chat & Text team.
• Oversee clinical quality, daily operations, staffing, performance, and service delivery.
• Provide clinical supervision, case consultation, contact review, and staff feedback.
• Monitor program metrics and ensure compliance with 988, contractual, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Support implementation of new services, technology, training, and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with Crisis Connections leaders and external partners.
• Remain connected to frontline chat and text services and lead by example.

Location: Candidates must reside in Washington, Arizona, Texas, or Ohio.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Crisis Connections is seeking an experienced clinical leader to oversee the daily operations and clinical quality of our 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Chat and Text Program. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate, accessible crisis support through chat and text.

As the 988 Clinical Manager, Chat & Text, you'll combine clinical leadership with operational management, helping ensure people experiencing emotional distress or crisis receive timely support, risk assessment, safety planning, and connections to appropriate resources.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a multidisciplinary 988 Chat & Text team.
• Oversee clinical quality, daily operations, staffing, performance, and service delivery.
• Provide clinical supervision, case consultation, contact review, and staff feedback.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Independent or associate behavioral health licensure, with the ability to obtain the applicable Washington State credential.
• Ability to meet Washington State Mental Health Professional requirements.
• 4-5+ years of leadership experience in behavioral health crisis work.
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, clinical supervision, and behavioral health standards.
• Excellent written and digital communication skills.
• Experience with crisis chat/text, web-based crisis services, or digital contact center environments is strongly preferred.
