Job summary

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe is seeking a Communications Operator to respond to 911 and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, and EMS. The role prioritizes calls and dispatches emergency personnel while maintaining call records in electronic and paper formats.

Qualifications

  • Must type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor or any crime involving moral turpitude in Arizona or other jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Answer emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain and document all call records in CAD/RMS and other systems.
  • Provide officers with information from NCIC/ACIC and local bulletins.
  • Monitor radio transmissions and operate center equipment.
  • Enter and retrieve information from ACJIS and related systems.
  • Coordinate with resources for law enforcement and fire department staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
