Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and nonemergency calls.
• Confirm incident location and caller information.
• Use approved questions to identify urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing/dispatch software.
• Forward information to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions within training.
