Qualifications

• Ability to follow structured procedures and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Confirm location, caller information, and incident details.
• Use approved questions to assess urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only after training.
• Maintain caller privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with team to meet staffing and scheduling needs.
