Job summary

Lancaster County Wide Communications seeks a dedicated 9-1-1 Assistant Communication Supervisor to oversee telecommunications staff and ensure efficient call-taking and dispatch operations. You will support scheduling, cross-training, and performance management within LCWC.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of PSAP experience, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate high-pressure, fast-paced environments while upholding confidentiality and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years' experience in a PSAP as a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator III or equivalent position.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted year for year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign telecommunications staff.
• Prepare performance appraisals and conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate shift transfers, leave requests, and staffing levels.
• Administer action plans and corrective measures when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle complaints concerning staff and operations.
