DC Prep in Washington, DC is seeking an 8th grade Special Education ELA Teacher for the SY 26-27 start date immediate. This full-time, 10-month role requires exempt status and a track record of leading instruction in urban settings.

You will adapt standards-based curricula for 8th grade ELA, collaborate with lead teachers, use data to inform instruction, and engage families to support student outcomes in a high-expectation charter network.

Formación

• 2+ years lead teaching in urban public schools with high student achievement.
• Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college; education concentration preferred.
• Desire to support student achievement in underserved communities.

Responsabilidades

• DC Prep teachers work 7:15 am–4:15 pm (Mon–Fri) and must be ready for students at 7:30 am; Wednesdays feature professional development.
• Perform clerical duties related to instructional supplies, student reports and records.
• Attend staff events, field trips, family-teacher conferences, and other obligations as needed.
