Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated teacher to implement state standards and IDEA curricula, delivering grade-level content and assessments. You will plan weekly lessons, monitor student progress, and communicate outcomes with families.

A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, professional development, and a positive school culture. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and K-12 teaching experience, with preference for state certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Engage in tutoring sessions as needed and participate in school-wide meetings and duties.
