Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking dedicated teachers for IDEA College Prep to ensure students master academic and social skills for college success. You will set ambitious goals, track data, and develop daily lesson plans while delivering rigorous coursework with opportunities for college credit through dual-enrollment, AP, or IB programs.

Compensation starts at $59,500 with stipends for certifications and campus leadership, plus performance-based pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• State certification preferred but not required; teaching certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with formal/informal assessments and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school culture that fosters a productive learning environment.
• Establish cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed, including after-school or Saturday sessions.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and school-wide meetings.
• Engage in district, school, and personal professional development.
