Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated IDEA College Prep Teacher to help students master core academics and social skills for college readiness, while modeling IDEA values daily. The role emphasizes ambitious goals, data-driven daily lesson plans, and opportunities for college credit via dual enrollment, AP, or IB courses.

Strong candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and K-12 teaching experience. The position offers a starting salary of $57,500 with stipends for certifications/credentials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred
• State certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
• Communicate students’ progress with student and family on a weekly basis
• Engage in summer and year-long district, school and personal learning and development
• Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
