Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Austin, TX seeks a dedicated teacher for the IDEA College Prep program. You will implement state standards, deliver rigorous coursework, track student progress, and help students gain college credits through dual enrollment, AP, or IB.

We offer a starting salary of $59,500 with additional stipends from $500 to $4,000 based on credentials, plus performance-based pay and a comprehensive benefits package including family leave and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• State teaching certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Learn, master, and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Monitor and communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs.
• Engage in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and school-wide events.
