Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse needs within an inclusion framework. You will design coherent instruction, develop IEPs, and monitor progress to ensure student growth and compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration with classroom teachers, implementation of IDEA and FERPA, and engagement in MTSS teams to address academic and behavioral goals in a charter school setting in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education is required.
• Active PA K-8 Special Education certification is required.
• Additional PA Certifications are preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core.
• Entrepreneurship experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students with diverse needs in an inclusion model.
• Develop and write IEPs; coordinate progress monitoring and reports.
• Coordinate IEP data analysis and portfolio maintenance.
• Engage in progress monitoring and complete progress reports for each student on caseload.
• Utilize PA Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS) data to guide instruction.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA and FERPA.
