Job summary

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Education required.
• PA Teaching Certificate in appropriate content area required.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, teaching methods and assessment.
• Strong knowledge of special education law and IEP processes.
• Ability to implement behavior plans and communicate with teachers.
• Familiarity with Common Core and PA standards and data analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct instruction and activities to support learning goals.
• Instruct individuals and groups using varied teaching methods.
• Set clear objectives for lessons and communicate them.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for activities.
• Adapt materials to meet diverse needs and interests.
• Maintain behavior management and classroom order.
• Observe and evaluate student progress and health.
• Confer with parents and staff to resolve issues and plan IEPs.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit reports as required.
