Job summary

University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy in Detroit, MI seeks a 10-month full-time exempt reading intervention educator to provide targeted reading support for students in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities include designing interventions, administering screeners, monitoring progress every 8–10 weeks, and collaborating with teachers and families while maintaining records and applying restorative practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements as required.

• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies for support.
• Incorporate Restorative Practices into daily interactions.

• Location: University of Detroit Jesuit
• Salary Range:$40,000-55,000 annually
• Schedule:8-hour shift; example: 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm
  • Tentative: One hour work from home

Job Overview:

Provide targeted reading intervention support for students in in one-on-one and small group settings

Incorporate Restorative Practices into daily interactions with students and staff

Perform additional duties as assigned
