Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required.
• Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Disabilities required.
• Experience with behavior management.
• Experience with curriculum modification and differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency in educational diagnostic and prescriptive testing.
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Works with parents, students and general education teachers to promote student achievement.
• Develops and implements IEPs with measurable goals.
• Prepares for IEP team meetings and case management for students with disabilities.
• Collects data on student performance and makes data-driven instructional decisions.
• Interprets formal and informal assessments to guide instruction.
• Supervises and trains special education aides working with students.
• Adheres to all laws and ethical standards and maintains compliant student files.
