Job summary

ACE Partners in Houston, TX is seeking a CNC Mill/Turn Programmer - 5-Axis for a 1st shift. You will program and set up complex parts, reviewing drawings and CAD models to determine machining strategies and tooling.

TA: GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, Mastercam experience required. Expect work with exotic alloys and aerospace-grade materials as the shop expands toward SpaceX-related programs, in a small, visibility-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Review engineering drawings and CAD models to determine machining strategy, workholding and tooling.
• Program and set up jobs on a 5-axis mill/turn machining center from raw stock through first article and production runs.
• CAM programming in GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or Mastercam; edit and troubleshoot at the controller.
• Hold tight tolerances across a range of exotic alloys and aerospace-grade materials.
• 5+ years CNC programming experience, with prior mill/turn or multi-axis lathe programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and CAD models to determine machining strategy, workholding and tooling selection for complex 5-axis parts.
• Program and set up jobs on a 5-axis mill/turn machining center, from raw stock through first-article and production runs.
• CAM programming in GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or Mastercam; edit and troubleshoot at the controller (Fanuc / Matrix).
• Maintain tight tolerances on exotic alloys and aerospace-grade materials.
• Collaborate with shop team to optimize setups and cycle times.
