Job summary

Venus Aerospace in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to own high‑precision multi‑axis work and turn complex designs into quality components. You will partner with engineering to shape manufacturing strategy, elevate standards for quality and safety, and own process improvements in a fast‑moving R&D environment.

You must have 5+ years of CNC programming with 5‑axis setups, experience with Fanuc/HAAS/Okuma, and CATIA (DELMIA).

Qualifications

5+ years CNC programming experience, with hands-on setup of 5-axis mills or lathes.
Experience with Fanuc, HAAS, and Okuma controls.
CATIA (DELMIA) proficiency; Mastercam a plus.
Ability to read GD&T and blueprints and troubleshoot G-code.
Strong metrology skills and shop math proficiency.

Responsibilities

Program and support high-precision short-turn and small-batch jobs with attention to detail.
Collaborate with engineering to drive process improvements and quality.
Complete machining from drawings and verbal instructions; set up 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
Provide feedback to design and receive customer input to improve parts.
Develop processes to sustain manufacturing excellence and safety.
Assist in tooling decisions and machine selection; maintain safe work environment.
