Job summary

Ignite Human Capital is recruiting a high-level CNC Programmer for our Houston-area client. You will develop and optimize multi-axis machining programs for tight-tolerance parts, translating 3D models into efficient tool paths and proving them on the floor with machinists.

You will interpret GD&T, plan tooling and fixturing, and collaborate with engineering and quality to improve manufacturability. On-site role supporting continuous cycle-time reductions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years CNC programming in a precision machining environment.
• Proficiency with CAM software and multi-axis programming.
• Strong CAD model, blueprint, and GD&T interpretation.
• Hands-on machining background to prove out and edit programs at the control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, post-process, and optimize CNC programs and tool paths using CAM software.
• Interpret 3D models, drawings, and GD&T to plan machining strategies, fixturing, and tooling.
• Program multi-axis (3–5 axis) mills and/or lathes and prove out programs at the machine.
• Create setup sheets, tool lists, and process documentation.
• Reduce cycle times and improve efficiency through optimization.
• Support first-article inspection and troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and shop floor to improve manufacturability.
