Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher for a 4th shift in Fort Smith, AR. The role supports field technicians, handles emergencies, and coordinates daily operations to ensure safety and efficiency.

Overtime is common to cover shifts in a 24-hour office, with drug testing and DOT policy in force. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in customer service or dispatching, with SAP or Mobile Data experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of customer service or clerical experience using computerized systems.
• Desired SAP or mobile data dispatching system experience.
• At least one year experience in or supporting gas distribution operations or equivalent dispatching experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone and performs call-ahead requests for field technicians.
• Receives and dispatches emergency calls and customer complaints following procedures.
• Dispatches orders via Mobile Data.
• Coordinates daily operational requirements between local supervision and service technicians.
• Routes work to service technicians and monitors orders.
