Job summary

Summit Utilities is seeking a 3rd shift Dispatcher in Arkansas to monitor, dispatch, and balance work orders for field personnel, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will act as the bridge between customer service and field teams, handling after-hours dispatch and urgent requests.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and familiarity with SAP or mobile data dispatching systems. You will collaborate with local supervision and technicians, supporting reliable gas service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of customer service or clerical experience using computerized systems.
• Desire SAP experience or mobile data dispatching system; 1+ year in gas distribution operations or dispatching.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls and performs call-ahead requests for field technicians.
• Receives and dispatches emergency calls and customer complaints following company procedures.
• Dispatches orders via Mobile Data and/or radio.
• Coordinates daily operational requirements between local supervision and service technicians.
• Routes work to service technicians.
• Monitors orders and reroutes as needed.
• Prioritizes work orders.
• Documents work orders.
• Resolves scheduling issues between the Call Center, customers, and supervision to achieve optimum results.
• Monitors daily reconciliation of all priority calls.
