The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a dedicated 4th Grade English Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Peoria, AZ. This on-site position emphasizes rigorous literacy instruction, data-driven decision making, and strong classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education OR valid Arizona teaching certification OR minimum of three years of K–12 teaching experience
• SEI Endorsement or completion of 45 hours SEI training is preferred but not required
• Pass required background checks and obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset
• Demonstrate collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
• Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve teaching practices.
• Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.
