Academies of Math and Science, located at 1557 W Prince Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705, is seeking a data-driven 4th grade teacher to join our mission of providing underserved students with an exceptional education.

You will implement AMS curriculum standards, differentiate instruction, engage with families, and collaborate with a professional learning community to raise student achievement. Start date is immediate with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping Title 1 and ESL students in underserved communities forge their way to a college education.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Level 1 IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
• Adaptability and willingness to deliver established, proven curriculum provided by our network.

Responsibilities

• Teach students above and below grade level using a differentiated approach.
• Attend weekly professional development and meetings with grade level team/professional learning communities.
• Communicate with parents and lead parent-student-teacher meetings to facilitate progress in and outside of the classroom.
• Coordinate with administrators and other staff members to create an environment focused on meeting students’ academic and behavioral needs.
• Using measurable data, track student performance and enrich their progress with visible results.
• Contribute to the improvement of practices and procedures to build upon our success using PBIS and preventative strategies.
