Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Early Education teacher in Texas to lead rigorous instruction for K-3 students and foster a strong school culture focused on college readiness. You will plan and deliver purposeful instruction, assess progress, and collaborate with families to support student achievement.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, use of technology in instruction, and engagement in district and school-wide initiatives to build a thriving learning environment.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting preferred.
• Reading Academies certification or willingness to obtain TX training as required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families weekly.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Engage in tutoring sessions as needed and participate in meetings and development.
