Job summary

The University of Missouri Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development seeks an Educational Program Associate I in Caldwell County, Kingston, MO. The role supports 4-H Youth Development programs under the guidance of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist/Educator.

Duties include planning, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating curriculum with a focus on Leadership, Civic Engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, and Agriculture & Natural Resources. Shift is 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and some experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
• Six hours in one or more PRKC domains for youth development (leadership, civic engagement, STEM, healthy living, agriculture and natural resources, and related topics) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, management, and support of 4-H Youth Development programs in assigned geographic area under supervision
• Develop leadership capacity among youth and engage volunteers and community partners
• Coordinate or conduct educational events, contests, camps, and programs using a positive youth development approach
• Report accomplishments and impacts to supervisor, funders, and stakeholders
• Travel and work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required
