NC State Extension in Chatham County seeks a dedicated Extension Agent to plan, deliver, and evaluate a comprehensive 4-H Youth Development program for youth ages 5–18. This role involves leadership, volunteer development, fundraising, and community partnerships to build life skills through hands-on experiences.

The agent will recruit and train volunteers, coordinate club activities, manage records and compliance, and collaborate with county leaders and NC State University.

Qualifications

• Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA condition or Master’s degree progression in child/youth development or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel, work after-hours and weekends as needed.
• Experience developing and supervising volunteers and youth programming.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement, and evaluate a county 4-H program for youth ages 5–18.
• Recruit, train, and supervise 4-H volunteers and club leaders; support events and school-based programs.
• Raise funds and manage program finances; oversee county 4-H accounts and compliance with regulations.
• Lead a county 4-H advisory council and collaborate with county leaders and NC State Extension staff.
