Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within our pharmacy team. You will work under a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap and gain hands-on experience across store operations, patient interactions, and pharmacy workflows.

You will assist with safe, accurate prescriptions, patient counseling, immunizations where allowed, and collaboration with pharmacists and technicians to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited College enrollment or acceptance.
• Active intern or technician licensure as required.
• Must demonstrate basic pharmacy skills and patient care fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Attend required training and complete the 3rd year Pharmacy Intern roadmap.
• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients and answer pharmacy-related questions under supervision.
• Process telephonic prescriptions and clarify changes with prescribers as allowed by state law.
• Support immunization services where permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain SOPs and contribute to a safe, inclusive store environment.
• Contribute to inventory activities and standard daily tasks.
