Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in real-world practice within our pharmacy teams. Under a licensed pharmacist, you will follow SOPs, assist with prescription fulfillment, and engage in immunizations and patient counseling to build toward a Pharmacist role.

You will gain hands-on experience through a structured training roadmap, learning store, district, and regional operations while contributing to safe and caring patient service.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Preferred immunization certification and ability to work across store locations.

Responsibilities

• Living CVS SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients, field medical questions, and obtain relevant medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions as allowed by state law.
• Assist with inventory activities and support the pharmacy leadership team.
• Provide immunization support and other patient health services where permitted by law.
