Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern for our retail locations in the United States. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a pharmacist preceptor, following a comprehensive training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while delivering caring service and engaging with patients and colleagues in a safe, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and focus: concentrate on a task over a period of time
• Customer service and team orientation: help people in a friendly manner
• Communication skills: verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical reasoning: calculate days supply and label accuracy
• Problem resolution: address patient or colleague interactions and choose best course of action
• Physical demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, visual acuity for records
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
