Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to join our retail pharmacy team. You will apply classroom knowledge to real-world practice under a pharmacist supervisor, supporting operations, patient care, and compliance in CVS stores.

You will gain hands-on experience with a roadmap of learning experiences, develop clinical and technical skills, and contribute to a safe, friendly patient experience while exploring opportunities for future pharmacist responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be pursuing, intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain immunization certification as state regulations permit.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers and support pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Fill prescriptions accurately and ensure patient safety.
• Follow SOPs and participate in pharmacy workflow at each station.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and answer medical questions.
• Assist with immunizations and point-of-care services where allowed by law.
• Maintain inventory and assist in training and mentoring staff.
