Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC, a Redwood Falls, MN-based manufacturer, is seeking a Plant Maintenance technician for the 2nd shift. The role involves preventive maintenance on grinders, pumps, motors, and gear boxes, plus responding to emergencies to minimize downtime.

The position offers a starting wage of $30.83 per hour with potential increases based on experience, plus night/weekend differentials and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting with mechanical or electrical work.
• Experience operating welding or metal fabrication equipment; may need a weld test.
• Experience operating a skid steer and forklift; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain boilers and wastewater licenses is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout and hot work.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance on machinery and systems.
• Maintain and repair grinders, augers, pumps, motors, and gear boxes.
• Respond to emergency radio calls and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Document materials used and time spent on maintenance tasks; communicate supply needs.
• Assist with environmental systems maintenance and wastewater-related tasks.
• Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as required; ensure proper safety protocols.
