Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the 3rd shift at our Harvey, IL facility. The role provides administrative support to the Regional Service Center and collaborates with the warehouse team.

You will enter and monitor data in JDE, process POs, manage shipments, track on-time delivery, and seek continuous improvement while complying with safety standards.

Required: high school diploma, 3–5 years in manufacturing, AS400 or JD Edwards a plus, strong communication and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and standard office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on, accountable team player willing to learn and teach others.

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor data into JDE; enter purchase orders; receive raw and finish goods.
• Prepare traffic schedules; support JD Edwards outbound transactions; monitor material availability and release orders.
• Track daily on-time delivery and support corrective actions for failures; arrange carrier pickups and cost efficiency.
• Provide backup support in the shipping department; notify inventory control of variances.
• Promote safety and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
