Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Shipping Clerk for our Harvey, IL facility. You will provide administrative support to the Regional Service Center, handling data entry in JDE, purchase orders, and outbound shipping tasks.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a willingness to learn within a manufacturing environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma and 3-5 years of related experience, with familiarity in AS400 or JD Edwards being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Computer literacy in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on, accountable team player.
• Working knowledge of AS400 and/or JD Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor data into JDE; manage Purchase Orders and shipping transactions.
• Monitor material availability and release orders; track on-time delivery.
• Arrange carrier pickups and optimize cost efficiency.
• Document and notify any variances or shortages.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement in the shipping area.
