Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a 3rd Shift Senior Process Control Technician for a leading North American die casting manufacturer in Cedarburg, WI. The role centers on monitoring and optimizing high‑pressure aluminum die casting processes to improve first‑pass yields and reduce scrap.

You will analyze heat and injection parameters, perform root‑cause analyses of defects, train operators, and collaborate with quality and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years in process control in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze process monitoring data and quality reports.
• Willingness to commute within 45 minutes of Cedarburg, WI area.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical variables like melt temperatures, shot profiles, injection speeds, and cycle times.
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects such as porosity and cold shuts.
• Tune die casting parameters for product launches and existing runs.
• Create and maintain setup sheets and operating instructions.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to validate changes and reduce scrap.
• Review X-ray inspection data to ensure parts meet specs.
• Coach operators on standardized process parameters.
