Job summary

Software Placement Group is looking for a Senior Process Control Technician to oversee die casting process integrity on the 3rd shift, on-site in Cedarburg, WI. You will monitor critical variables, drive scrap reduction, and troubleshoot defects to ensure OEM-quality outcomes in an ISO-certified environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in process control within manufacturing, with a strong problem-solving mindset and ability to interpret process data and quality reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2+ years of tenure at each prior employer.
• 2+ years of hands-on process control experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret process monitoring data and quality reports.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg/Greater Milwaukee area.

Responsibilities

• Continuously track and analyze critical process variables including melt temperatures, shot profiles, injection speeds, intensification pressures, cycle times, and die lubrication.
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects such as porosity, cold shuts, soldering, blisters, flash, misruns, and thermal shrinkage.
• Set up, fine-tune, and validate die casting process parameters for new product launches and production runs.
• Establish, document, and maintain accurate process setup sheets and operating instructions for setup techs and machine operators.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to validate process changes, improve first-pass yield, and minimize scrap rates.
• Utilize real-time process monitoring systems and review X-ray inspection data to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Coach and train machine operators and setup technicians on standardized process parameters and best practices.
