Job summary

Wieland is hiring a Rolling Operator for the Waterbury, CT site. The role is on-site, 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) with weekly pay. You will set up and operate Sendzimir Z-mills, monitor material and machine parameters, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications include 3–5 years of rolling mill experience, ability to read English, basic math, and familiarity with micrometers and calipers. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands work instructions for equipment.
• Maintains production records and logs.
• 3–5 years of experience running Sendzimir Z-mill or similar rolling equipment.
• Able to perform basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions specific to the equipment.
• Set up and operate Sendzimir Z-mills; monitor material and machine parameters to meet specs.
• Move material using forklifts, cranes, or pallet jacks.
• Direct the work of mill helpers to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Perform light maintenance on machines (rolls, bearings).
• Check material gauge and surface finish; coordinate with metrology.
