Job summary

Wieland is hiring an Annealing Operator for the Waterbury, CT site. You will operate and monitor furnaces, load/unload coils, run quality checks, and maintain production logs to ensure on-specification metal. The role is on-site with a 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm and a weekly pay schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and reliable attendance. You will also be trained to use Wieland Factory Suite (WFS) and cooperate with safety rules

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Reliability demonstrated by attendance.
• Ability to perform simple math and keep production logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Strip Annealing Equipment to meet specifications.
• Read and follow Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Maintain logs and report any faults or abnormalities.
• Direct helpers/assistants to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Move material using forklifts, transporters, cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Support Metrology lab to confirm product specifications.
• Proficiently use Wieland Factory Suite (WFS).
