Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician for the Lacey’s Spring Quarry in Lacey’s Spring, AL. This full-time role reports to the Plant Manager and emphasizes safety, self-motivation, and teamwork.

The position involves repairing and maintaining crushers, conveyors, and screens, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing general maintenance while complying with OSHA/MSHA regulations. Weekend work may be required and overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with emphasis on compliance and safe procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability for plant repairs.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance or related industry required.
• Experience with crushers, conveyors, and screens required.
• Fabricating, cutting, and welding experience required.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to adapt to different environments and schedules; outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain crushers, conveyors, and screens in the plant.
• Diagnose mechanical issues with quarry equipment, including hydraulic failures, electrical malfunctions, and engine problems.
• Fabricate parts and weld broken components needed for plant repair.
• Perform servicing and general maintenance for all plant areas.
• Regularly inspect quarry equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure (belts, bearings, hydraulic lines, electrical components).
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe procedures and environment.
