Job summary

Magna International Limited in Michigan is seeking an Assembly Team Coordinator to lead third shift assembly teams. You will supervise non-exempt staff, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and align work with the production schedule.

The role requires at least 2 years of assembly supervision experience, strong communication and leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through Magna Production System methodologies. Weekend and overtime support may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience as an Assembly Team Coordinator or equivalent assembly supervision experience outside Magna.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills to work with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills relevant to the role.
• Ability to lead and develop others through coaching and training.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports, and prioritizes production activities for third shift assembly teams.
• Ensures products meet cost, quality and delivery targets while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Monitors and adjusts the assembly schedule to meet production demands and manning requirements.
• Performs daily audits, maintains end-of-shift paperwork, and supports continuous improvement activities.
