Job summary

Gestamp in the United States is seeking an Assembly Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead a manufacturing team focused on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Morale. You will plan labor, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement using Lean methods while ensuring on-time shipments and compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive, and be computer literate to analyze data and report outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing organization; automotive experience a plus.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to achieve Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost & Employee Morale objectives.
• Plan & adjust labor and production schedule to meet shipments on time.
• Coach, mentor and develop team leaders and members; resolve concerns.
• Hold associates accountable to policies and procedures; provide coaching when needed.
• Collaborate with support functions to solve Safety, Quality & Production problems and drive improvements.
• Manage associate time and attendance and report operational data to drive efficiency.
