Job summary

Gestamp in the United States is seeking an Assembly Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead a manufacturing team, drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets, and ensure on-time shipments. The role requires coaching, data-driven improvement, and adherence to Lean principles in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree and 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with strong computer skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Science or Engineering or Business.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing organization.
• A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to achieve safety, quality, productivity, cost and morale objectives.
• Plan and adjust labor to meet production schedule and on-time shipments.
• Coach, mentor and develop team leaders and associates.
• Enforce company policies and provide coaching when needed.
• Collaborate with support functions to solve safety, quality and production issues.
• Manage associate time and attendance.
• Analyze operational data to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Step up to lead the department in the manager’s absence.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
