Job summary

PPG's Strongsville, OH Plant is seeking a Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) to lead safety, quality, delivery and productivity by developing standardized work and engaging the workforce. The role reports to the Production Manager and involves collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to drive continuous improvement.

You will ensure safety, risk reduction, and achievement of plant metrics, while guiding shift teams, optimizing workflow, and allocating resources to meet goals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in production with supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, Oracle preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
• Lead daily shift meetings with focus on safety hazard recognition and safety tip of the day.
• Assign and prioritize work to the hourly workforce.
• Maintain the safety program and foster a 'Safety First' culture.
• Manage production progress, staffing, and resources; implement cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to solve problems.
• Utilize data to identify solutions and actions.
• Grow a culture of workforce engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
