Job summary

PPG, Oak Creek, Wisconsin, is hiring a Logistics Supervisor (3rd shift) onsite to lead safety, quality, and productivity. You will drive standardized work and engage the workforce to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include supervising the hourly workforce, coordinating with engineering and quality teams, and maintaining a robust safety culture while optimizing workflow and resources. This role requires strong data usage and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in production and previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, to bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
• Assign and prioritize work to the unionized hourly workforce.
• Maintain the safety program and facilitate a "Safety First" culture to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage production progress, including workflow optimization, staffing, and resource allocation; implement cost-saving measures and recovery strategies during changes.
• Collaborate with fellow supervisors and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS personnel to solve problems.
• Utilize data to identify solutions and recommend actions.
• Facilitate and grow a culture of workforce engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
