Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the second shift at our Cleveland, OH plant. You will drive safe, efficient, high‑quality production while meeting customer specifications, delivery timelines, and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee batching, mixing, filling, and packaging of automotive coatings, coordinate with other shifts, and develop operators. The role includes payroll‑related tasks and reporting, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising second-shift manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate second-shift production activities (batching, mixing, filling, packaging) for automotive coatings.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor workflow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency to maximize output.
• Coordinate with first‑shift and night‑shift leadership for seamless handoffs.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate production operators and staff.
• Maintain shift records, KPI tracking, and payroll-related tasks as assigned.
