Job summary

Times Microwave Systems is seeking a 3rdShift Production Supervisor to manage hourly assembly personnel and oversee daily operations. You will ensure products are built to schedule while maintaining safety and quality, and partner with Manufacturing Engineering to drive improvements.

Strong leadership, communication, and Lean experience are essential for success. The role requires experience in a manufacturing environment, the ability to read engineering drawings, and proficiency with Office

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Wire and Cable experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage hourly production personnel.
• Oversee all operations in department to maximize capacity and efficiency.
• Control processes for safety and quality.
• Promote and enforce safety policies to reduce injuries.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure product is built to scheduled customer ship dates.
• Review unfavorable work order variance and drive improvement with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Evaluate each stage of manufacturing process for efficiency.
• Train hourly operators with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering.
• Maintain relationships with the union per collective bargaining agreement.
• Discipline and coach employees who fall short of expectations.
• Assess staffing levels and adjust labor requirements with management.
• Investigate and report information to provide realistic schedules to Planning and Customer Service.
• Make recommendations for equipment, process changes, and shift adjustments.
• Monitor and drive production floor to schedule via ERP or Pull System.
• Resolve material shortages with Purchasing and Planning.
• Drive Continuous Improvement with visual management tools (5S, layouts, bins, FIFO).
