Job summary

The role requires coaching of employees, monitoring Kronos timekeeping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
• Experience with employee training and development including peers and subordinates.
• Experience with measurement of performance to goals and standards.
• Ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
• Quality orientation and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate work, assist with employee selection, review performance, resolve issues and administer policies in the department.
• Manage departmental performance measures within the COS, including visual controls and reporting in the system.
• Coordinate and direct department activities to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and safety.
• Ensure all job-related accidents are reported and documented and take corrective action swiftly.
• Recommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process modifications.
• Inspect product to verify standards and specifications are met.
• Provide technical and behavioral coaching and development to employees.
• Track absenteeism and timekeeping in Kronos.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs.
