Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills.
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with participating or leading continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to solve problems with little direction.
• Proven ability to work with a team as well as leading a team.
• Ability to come in early, stay late or work on the weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department. Ensure employees have received safety training and are properly using safety devices and PPE.
• Lead proper job rotation, housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies and practices.
• Lead accident/incident investigations for all incidents within the department.
• Track and improve line efficiencies and propose changes to reduce costs.
• Ensure product quality, schedule adherence, and timely completion of production plans.
• Maintain conformance with company rules and discipline as needed.
• Administer policies and maintain positive employer/employee relations.
• Lead monthly continuous improvement projects.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees.
• Manage department vacation calendar and timekeeping.
• Attend and lead monthly department meetings.
• Participate in training to stay current on supervision best practices.
