Job summary

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years supervisory experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and a proven ability to drive results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience plus 3–5 years as supervisor/manager.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with participating in or leading continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to solve problems with little direction.
• Proven ability to work with a team as well as lead a team.
• Ability to come in early, stay late, or work on weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department. Ensure employees receive safety training and use safety devices and PPE.
• Ensure proper job rotation, housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Lead accident/incident investigations for department incidents.
• Track and improve line efficiencies; recommend changes to reduce labor and material costs.
• Ensure product quality and timely completion of production schedules in priority sequence.
• Maintain conformance with rules; issue warnings and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Administer company policies and maintain positive employer/employee relations.
• Lead monthly continuous improvement projects.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees.
• Maintain department vacation calendar and resolve conflicts.
• Manage timekeeping for department staff.
• Conduct monthly departmental meetings per agenda.
• Attend trainings to stay updated on management/supervision practices.
